Название «Думать вслух» происходит от методики анализа переводческого процесса, в соответствии с которой переводчик за работой комментирует свои действия. Наш сайт позволяет переводчикам и людям, так или иначе занимающимся межъязыковым посредничеством, «подумать вслух» на благо коллег и единомышленников.

Как видно из заголовков рубрик, нас интересуют самые разные материалы в сфере перевода. Критерии отбора очень простые: материалы должны быть полезными, небанальными и корректными по отношению к оппонентам и читателям.

Создатели сайта - переводчики, прошедшие школу московского Иняза им. Мориса Тореза (МГЛУ), или тяготеющие к ней.

Это, безусловно, отражается в направленности наших публикаций. Однако наш ресурс открыт для представителей любых школ, если им есть чем поделиться.

К созданию этой интернет-страницы нас подтолкнуло несогласие со сложившимся положением вещей. Положение вещей на данный момент состоит в том, что толковых русскоязычных материалов о переводе (не считая переводоведческой классики) в сети мало и разбросаны они подчас по случайным местам, тогда как масса интересных статей, умных наблюдений и талантливых переводов доступны лишь узкому кругу осведомленных.

Мы надеемся внести свой вклад в распространение качественной информации о переводе и том, что с ним связано. Мы с радостью рассмотрим ваши материалы и выслушаем ваше мнение (отправить письмо можно по этому адресу).

The name “Think Aloud” refers to the method of analyzing the translation process in which a translator comments on his actions as he works. Our site enables translators and other people facilitating interlingual communication to “think aloud” for the benefit of their colleagues and those sharing their interests and concerns.

As you can see from the section names on this website (academic works, popular articles on translation, graduation papers, reviews, translations, creative works), we are interested in a wide range of translation-related materials. The selection criteria we use are very simple: to be posted on our website, a material must be useful, original and respectful towards readers and opponents.

This site was created by translators educated at Moscow State Linguistic University (the Maurice Thorez Institute of Foreign Languages) and those who endorse its views on translation. This is naturally reflected in our postings

Our resource, however, is open to people with other translation backgrounds if they have something interesting to share.

We started the site because we were dissatisfied with the current state of affairs. At the moment, online translation-related materials in Russian and of reasonable quality (apart from classical translation studies) are few and randomly placed, whereas many interesting articles, clever observations and brilliant translations are available only to a handful of insiders.

We hope to contribute to the dissemination of high-quality information on translation and related issues. We will be glad to consider your materials for publication on our site or to hear your opinions (to send a letter click here).
